About

Howdy! It’s nice to meet you πŸ‘‹πŸ»

My creative work has appeared in places like Electric Literature, Joyland, Kenyon Review, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts + Media, + Los Angeles Review.

In addition to writing + media, I am passionate about creating accessible, beautiful designs backed by data + iterative research processes. My clients include Google, AppFolio, Tripadvisor, Pineapple Street Studios, Plume, + Trainline β€” among others.

As an essayist + producer, my essay, β€œAnother Year Older and Deeper in Debt,” was anthologized in the latest edition of Without a Net: The Female Experience of Growing Up Working Class + my audio essay, β€œHow to Survive a Fire,” was recognized by the Missouri Review for the 12th annual Miller Audio Prize.

I was a finalist for Joyland’s Open Border Fiction Prize, a Top 25 finalist for Glimmer Train’s Short Story Award for New Writers, + a grateful recipient of grants + fellowships from the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, + the Ragdale Foundation.

In a former life, I worked as a science textbook + media editor in New York City + San Francisco while also working as a cheesemonger + freelance everything. Most recently, I spent a year living + working on the road with my dog + cat.

Currently, I work as a content strategist + am seeking representation for my first novel. I am also obsessed with failure, so I write a newsletter about it.

My favorite animal is the garden snail πŸ’•πŸŒπŸ’•
